These terms explain how DIYvinci’s website, shop, community, memberships, digital products, courses, creative tools, and related services work, including the rights and responsibilities that come with using them.

By accessing or using a DIYvinci service, creating an account, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms and any additional terms presented for a specific product or service.
Some products or services may include additional terms.
Your rights under applicable law still apply.

Throughout these Terms, “DIYvinci,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to DIYvinci.
Some products or services may have additional terms, license conditions, policies, or instructions. When those additional terms apply, they become part of your agreement with us.

Eligibility
DIYvinci is primarily designed for adults.
Certain services, including community participation, memberships, accounts, interactive tools, or other features, may require users to be at least 18 years old.
If a product or service is available to someone under 18, that person must use it only with the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian where required by law.

Accounts
Some DIYvinci services require an account. When creating or maintaining one, you agree to:

Provide accurate and reasonably complete information.

Keep your account information up to date.

Keep your login credentials secure.

Not knowingly allow another person to use your account in a way that violates these Terms.

Notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account unless the activity resulted from circumstances outside your reasonable control.

Purchases and payment
When you make a purchase through DIYvinci, you agree to provide accurate billing and payment information and to pay the displayed price, applicable taxes, shipping charges, and any other charges clearly disclosed before purchase.
Payment processing may be provided by third-party payment services.
DIYvinci is not responsible for outages or errors caused solely by an independent payment provider, but this does not limit any rights you may have regarding a transaction made with DIYvinci.
If an obvious pricing, description, or technical error occurs, we may cancel or correct the affected transaction. If you have already been charged for a canceled transaction, we will provide an appropriate refund.

Physical products, shipping, and delivery
For physical products, estimated processing and delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees unless we specifically state otherwise.
Delivery times may be affected by:

Please contact us if an order arrives damaged, incorrect, or appears to be lost so we can review the situation.

Returns and refunds
Returns and refunds are governed by the return or refund policy displayed on DIYvinci or presented with the applicable product.
Except where required by law or otherwise stated in a product-specific policy, digital products, downloadable content, memberships, courses, and other immediately accessible digital services may be non-refundable once access or delivery has been provided.

Digital products and personal-use licenses
Purchasing or downloading a DIYvinci digital product gives you permission to use that product under the license provided with it. It does not transfer ownership of DIYvinci’s underlying intellectual property to you.
Unless a product specifically includes a different license, DIYvinci digital products are licensed for your personal use.
You may generally:

Download the product for your own use.

Print reasonable copies for your own personal use.

Use the product as part of your own creative practice.
Unless we expressly give you permission, you may not:

Resell or redistribute the original digital files.

Share purchased files with others as a substitute for their own purchase.

Upload the files to file-sharing websites, marketplaces, repositories, or public download services.

Claim the original DIYvinci design or content as your own.
-
Copy, reproduce, or commercially distribute substantial portions of a DIYvinci product.

Remove copyright, attribution, license, or ownership notices.

Use the product to create a directly competing digital product based substantially on DIYvinci’s original materials.

Courses and educational content
DIYvinci may provide courses, tutorials, guides, workshops, resources, and other educational content. Purchasing access gives you a limited right to personally view and use that content according to the applicable product terms.
Unless expressly permitted, you may not record, reproduce, redistribute, resell, publish, or provide course materials to others.
Results will vary from person to person, and DIYvinci does not guarantee any particular creative, personal, professional, financial, or other outcome.

Memberships and subscriptions
Some DIYvinci services are offered through recurring memberships or subscriptions.
Before purchase, we will provide the applicable price, billing frequency, renewal terms, cancellation terms, any minimum commitment, and any trial or promotional period that applies.
Unless otherwise stated, recurring memberships continue and renew automatically until canceled. By purchasing an automatically renewing subscription, you authorize the applicable recurring charges according to the terms presented at checkout.
Cancellation generally prevents future renewal charges. Unless otherwise stated, you may continue using the paid service through the end of the period for which you have already paid.

The DIYvinci community
DIYvinci may provide community spaces where members can share creative work, ideas, conversations, questions, comments, images, and other content.
When participating, you agree not to:

Harass, threaten, bully, stalk, or intentionally intimidate others.

Post hateful, abusive, exploitative, or unlawfully discriminatory content.

Impersonate another person or intentionally misrepresent your identity.
-
Post unlawful content.
-
Upload malware, malicious code, spam, or deceptive links.
-
Violate another person’s intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights.
-
Share another person’s private information without permission.
-
Use community features primarily for unsolicited advertising, spam, scams, or manipulation.
-
Attempt to bypass security or access areas you are not authorized to use.
-
Disrupt the normal operation of the community.
DIYvinci may moderate, limit the visibility of, or remove content when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, community guidelines, applicable law, or creates a meaningful safety or security concern.

Your content is yours
We do need limited permission to technically operate services where you choose to share content. By uploading or posting content, you grant DIYvinci a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, resize, transmit, and otherwise technically process that content as reasonably necessary to provide the service you chose to use.
For example, we may need to generate a thumbnail, display a post in a feed, back up stored content, or transmit content to the technology provider that powers a feature.
Featuring community work
You keep ownership of the artwork and other content you create.
By posting content to the DIYvinci community, you give us permission to feature it, along with your display name or username, on DIYvinci’s website, social media accounts, and newsletters. We may use these features to celebrate member work, share what’s happening inside the community, and invite others to join.
This permission does not allow us to sell your work, put it on products, use it in paid advertising, or use it to promote something unrelated to the community. We will ask for separate permission before using it in any of those ways.
If you don’t want a community post featured outside the community, contact us at hello@diyvinci.com. We’ll stop using it in future features and remove existing digital features when reasonably possible.

DIYvinci intellectual property
DIYvinci’s own content, branding, designs, illustrations, written materials, graphics, logos, software, interfaces, course materials, downloads, templates, story content, characters, product designs, and other original materials are owned by DIYvinci or used with permission.
Except for permissions specifically granted through a product license or these Terms, you may not reproduce, distribute, sell, republish, or commercially exploit DIYvinci’s protected content without permission.

AI and creative tools
DIYvinci may offer tools or features that use artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, or similar technology.
AI can get things wrong.
AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, unexpected, or inappropriate results. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on or publishing them.
These tools are intended to support creativity, exploration, accessibility, organization, brainstorming, or other stated functions.
You should not treat AI-generated output as professional medical, legal, financial, safety, or other regulated professional advice.
DIYvinci’s broader principles regarding creative AI are described in our separate AI & Creative Tools Policy.

Acceptable use
You may use DIYvinci only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, servers, databases, or networks.

Circumvent membership, purchase, subscription, security, or access controls.

Scrape or systematically extract content or data without permission.
-
Use bots or automated systems in a way that materially burdens or disrupts our services.

Introduce viruses, malicious code, or other harmful technology.
-
Copy or commercially exploit DIYvinci content outside the permissions granted to you.

Use DIYvinci to facilitate fraud, scams, unlawful activity, or infringement.

Interfere with another person’s ability to use our services.

Misrepresent your relationship with DIYvinci.

Your use of a third-party service may also be governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.

Promotions, coupons, and discounts
DIYvinci may occasionally offer coupons, discounts, giveaways, promotions, trials, or special offers.
Unless otherwise stated:

Promotions may be limited in time.

Offers may not be combined.

Coupons have no cash value.

Discounts cannot be applied retroactively to previous purchases.

We may limit promotions to certain products, customers, or geographic areas.

Fraudulent or abusive use of promotional offers may result in cancellation.

Suspension and termination
You may stop using DIYvinci at any time. Where available, you may also close your account or cancel a membership.
DIYvinci may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of:

A serious or repeated violation of these Terms.

Fraudulent activity.

Nonpayment.

Abuse or harassment.

Security risks.
-
Unlawful activity.

Attempts to compromise DIYvinci systems.

Circumstances where continued access could create legal liability or meaningful harm

Service availability and changes
DIYvinci may add, change, update, discontinue, or replace features, products, community spaces, tools, or services.
We may temporarily interrupt services for maintenance, technical problems, security issues, provider outages, or other operational reasons.

Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by law, DIYvinci’s websites, community features, digital services, creative tools, educational content, and software-based services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that every service will:

Be continuously available.
-
Be completely free of errors or bugs.
-
Meet every user’s particular needs.
-
Produce a particular creative or personal outcome.
-
Be free from interruptions caused by circumstances outside our control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to waive or disclaim.

Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DIYvinci will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use DIYvinci services.
To the extent permitted by law, DIYvinci’s total liability arising from a specific paid product or service will not exceed the amount you paid DIYvinci for the product or service giving rise to the claim during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold DIYvinci harmless from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising directly from content you submit that violates another person’s rights, unlawful use of DIYvinci, material violation of these Terms, fraud, or intentional misconduct through your account.

Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to any consumer protection rights or other laws that require otherwise, disputes relating to these Terms or DIYvinci services will be handled by courts of competent jurisdiction in Illinois.
Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from pursuing a claim in small claims court when eligible.

Changes to these terms
DIYvinci may update these Terms as our services, products, technology, or legal obligations change. When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page.

If part of these terms is invalid
If a provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

No waiver
If DIYvinci does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we permanently waive the right to enforce it later.

Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms, licenses, policies, or purchase conditions that apply to a particular DIYvinci service, form the agreement between you and DIYvinci regarding that service.
